Tour de Suisse 2015
The Tour de Suisse left June, 13th, and finished June, 21st. Nine days of compelling racing with Thibaut Pinot seizing power in the Queen Stage to the Rettenbach glacier. However, his time trial skills failed him on the last day and it boiled down to a Simon Spilak/Geraint Thomas clash, with the Slovenian having the upper hand and he won the Tour de Suisse 2015 with a 5 seconds advantage.

The hilly time trial in Switzerland boils down to a scenario Alfred Hitchcock would have been proud of. Soon leader Thibaut Pinot is out of the question and the race turns into a battle over seconds between Simon Spilak and Geraint Thomas. The Slovian is strongest, besting the Welshman by 5 seconds in the overall. Tom Dumoulin takes the stage and is ready for a battle for yellow with Tony Martin in Utrecht next month.Read more »
Lutsenko outsprints Bakelants in stage 8
Stage 8 is peppered with nasty hills, the last one is crested with 2.5 kilometres left. Lutsenko and Bakelants are the last two remaining with the young Kazach sprinting to victory. Thomas and Dumoulin attack in the finale and put three seconds into leader Thibaut Pinot.Read more »
Kristoff bests Sagan by centimetres
Stage 7 brings a 164.4 kilometres hilly ride with an uphill finish. Escapees Kwiatkowski is caught in the last kilometre and then Kristoff sprints to victory, besting Sagan by the tiniest margin. Thomas and Dumoulin take 5 seconds from leader Pinot.Read more »
Mighty Sagan sprints to victory
After over 190 kilometres in the saddle it all boils down to a bunch sprint. Cavendish, Kristoff and Sagan are the most likely candidates, but it is the latter who wins and takes his 11th stage win in Switzerland ever. Thomas takes some seconds from Pinot, who retains the overall lead.Read more »
Pinot takes Queen Stage and GC lead
The Queen Stage in Switzerland leads to an elevation of 2,669 metres after a 12.1 kilometres closing climb at 10.1%. It's there the race explodes. Pinot attacks with 2 kilometres left and soloes to victory. Leader Dumoulin is 1'37" and so Pinot is the new leader.Read more »
