Geraint Thomas won the general classification of the Tour de Romandie's 74th edition. Richie Porte and Fausto Masnada rounded out the podium. The 6-day stage race started on Tuesday 27 April and finished on Sunday 2 May.

The Queen Stage of the Tour de Romandie is played out in horrible weather conditions. Michael Woods outsprints Geraint Thomas in Thyon 2000. In a dramatic finale the Welshman hits the deck and he finishes in third, while Woods moves into the overall race lead.

Marc Soler attacks on the last climb and he reaches the summit solo. He widens his lead in the descent and wins the 3rd stage of the Tour de Romandie. The Spaniard moves into the overall race lead, 14 seconds ahead of Geraint Thomas en Richie Porte.
