Race report
Swiss rider Marcel Wyss was the first out today setting a time of 6’37″. Ramunas Navardauskas was 0’06″ faster and then Brett Lancaster took over with a time of 6'28".
It was Kwiatkowski's day however, blasting around the course in 6’22″. Fellow GC favourites Froome, Nibali, Rui Costa and Porte all conceded time, in said order 0’10″, 0’12″, 0’16″ and 0’23″.
Tejay van Garderen was the big loser from the favourites, coming home at 3’21″ due to a crash and ruining his chances of overall victory
