Race report
Rutsch is the first to accelerate on the Paris circuit, but his team mate Bissegger is the first to open up a gap. Sweeny and Pedersen (Casper) go with him. Konrad comes across before Pedersen drops back.
The three open up a maximum gap of 30 seconds before they are brought back with 32 kilometres to go.
A counter attack by Schelling, Gilbert and Alaphilippe is neutralised before Schelling goes again. Van Moer and Valgren join him. These three also open up a 30 seconds gap, while they are brought back in the last lap.
Van Aert outguns Philipsen and Cavendish in the enduing bunch sprint. The Manx Missile misses his 35th stage win at Le Tour but wins the points collection.
Pogacar seals his second Tour de France triumph in a row, while Vingegaard and Carapaz round out the podium.
