Tour de France 2017: Kittel sprints to his fifth after strong Bodnar solo, Froome still leader

The 11th stage travels to Pau, located in the foothills of the Pyrenees. A strong effort by attacker Maciej Bodnar is neutralised in the dying metres of the race before Marcel Kittel sprints to his fifth victory. Froome retains in the yellow jersey. (Slideshow route/profile)

Race report
Bodnar, Marcato and Backaert form the break of the day. They race to a maximum lead of almost 5 minutes and when the gap has fallen below 1 minute with 26 kms remaining Bodnar heads out on his own. The Pole is reeled in in the last 500 metres.

Marcel Kittel wins the dash to the line with a clear advantage over Dylan Groenewegen and Edvald Boasson Hagen.
