It's supposed to be a huge celebration, the Olympic Champion Cavendish returning to London to show off his golden shoes. Alas, it was not to be in 2012, but Cav has a chance to make amends today and will have the crowd on his side as he bids to outsprint 'ze Germans'.

Tour de France 2014 Favourites stage 4: Sprint battle on French roads

The road from La Touquet to Lille contains 2 category 4 climbs early on but this should still be one for the sprinters. Wind may be a factor and the chasing of any breakaway will need to be precise but with so many sprinter's teams present, it's hard to see them mis-calculating.
