Ruta del Sol 2023
Tadej Pogacar won the GC of the Ruta del Sol's 69th edition, while Mikel Landa and Santiago Buitrago rounded out the podium. Pogacar was in a class of his own, as he also took three out of five stages. The 2023 Ruta del Sol, or Vuelta a Andalucía, started on Wednesday 15 February and finished on Sunday the 19th.

Sprint triumph Fraile, Pogacar seals GC win
Breakaway rider Dries De Bondt puts down a strong effort before he is caught inside the last 9 kilometres. In the ensuing sprint it is Omar Fraile who takes the spoils, while Tadej Pogacar seals the GC win.

Pogacar scores hattrick to cement lead
Pavel Sivakov is the strongest rider from the breakaway. Tadej Pogacar and Enric Mas catch him in the last 12 kilometres before the yellow jersey powers to triumph in the steep and narrow streets of Iznájar. That's three stage wins in four days time for Pogacar.

Wellens wins in Alcalá de los Gazules, Pogacar still leader
Tim Wellens wins the 3rd stage of the Ruta del Sol from the breakaway. The Flemish rider attacks inside the last 1.5 kilometres and triumphs ahead of Pierre Latour and Samuele Bastistella. Tadej Pogacar stays in the overall race lead.

Pogacar cements GC lead on steep cobbled climb
Tadej Pogacar attacks from the lead group on the steep cobbled climb in Alcalá La Real. Enric Mas follows him, but when the Slovenian kicks again, and again, he rides to victory. Pogacar wins his second consecutive stage to extend his lead on GC to 48 seconds ahead of Santiago Buitrago.

Tadej Pogacar attacks in the last climb of the Queen Stage of the Ruta del Sol. On descent he stays well ahead of the first chasers, Carlos Rodriguez, Mikel Landa and Santiago Buitrago, to take both the stage win and leader's jersey.
