Dylan van Baarle won edition 78 of the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, while Arnaud De Lie and Christophe Laporte rounded out the podium. The race, which was played out on Saturday 25 February 2023, added up to 207.3 kilometres and featured twelve 'hellingen'.

Van Baarle solos to victory

Dylan van Baarle accelerates with 40 kilometres remaining. The Dutchman drops the only riders who are able to follow one after the other. At the foot of the Muur van Geraardsbergen the Dutchman is alone and he solos to victory. Arnaud De Lie outsprints Christophe Laporte for second place.

The Route

Saturday 25 February - Omloop Het Nieuwsblad kicks off the Classics season of 2023. The 207.3 kilometres route features twelve hills, sometimes cobbled, and nine flat stretches of pavé. The one-two punch of the Wall of Geraardsbergen and Bosberg in the finale is expected to be decisive.
