Omloop Het Nieuwsblad 2016
Edition 71 of Omloop Het Nieuwsblad was won by Greg Van Avermaet. Along with Luke Row he attacked at Taaienberg with 50 kilometres left. Sagan, Benoot and Gougeard were the other riders in the finale. Eventually Van Avermaet powersprinted to the win, besting Sagan with a few bike lengths.

At 200.8 kilometres, Omloop het Nieuwsblad contains 13 hills and a number of cobbled sectors. Luke Rowe and Greg Van Avermaet attack at Taaienberg with 50 kilometres left.
