Mathieu van der Poel won the 114th edition of Milan-San Remo, while Filippo Ganna and Wout van Aert rounded out the podium. The race, which was held on Saturday 18 March 2023, added up to 294 kilometres.

Van der Poel wins with solo from the Poggio

Just before the summit of the Poggio Mathieu van der Poel attacks from a lead group with Tadej Pogacar, Wout van Aert and Filippo Ganna. The Dutchman flies down into San Remo to win La Primavera in glorious style. Filippo Ganna and Wout van Aert round out the podium.

The Route

Saturday 18 March - Milan-San Remo doesn't start in Milan this time, but in Abbiategrasso. It will not impact the outcome whatsoever, as the distance remains more or less the same: 294 kilometres. And, as always, the emblematic finale with the Cipressa and Poggio before a flying descent to the Via Rome in San Remo is unaltered as well.
