Race report
Julie Van de Velde attacks halfway through the race and opens up a maximum gap of almost 1 minute. Lisa Brennauer, Ruth Winder, Elise Chabbey and Alison Jackson rejoin her inside the last 30 kilometres before the peloton brings them back.
After the leaders have been caught Lizzy Banks attacks, but it's gruppo compatto again when the Giro Rosa enters the second dust road.
Annemiek van Vleuten and Cecilie Uttrup Ludwig set the pace on the, occasionally very steep, uphill sector. While more and more riders are dropped the World Champion forges on alone. Van Vleuten wins the race and finishes 1.16 minutes ahead of Anna van der Breggen and Kasia Niewiadoma.
