Giro 2018: Results
Chris Froome won the 2018 Giro d'Italia ahead of Tom Dumoulin and Miguel Ángel López. He climbed to victory in the toughest mountain stages, with summit finishes at the Zoncolan and the Jafferau, which proved to be decisive. The victory in the Jafferau stage was Froome's master-piece. He attacked on the Colle delle Finestre and won with a 3 minutes lead after a solo of 80 kilometres. Simon Yates was dominant in the first two weeks of action, but cracked on the way to the Jafferau. Still, he pocketed three stages - as did Sam Bennett.
