Giro d’Italia 2016 Route stage 12: Noale – Bibione

Giro 2016 stage 12Thursday, May 19th, 2016 – Stage 12 in the 2016 Giro d'Italia looks like one of the easiest of edition 2016. At 182 kilometres, the course leads from Noale to beach resort Bibione. No climbs at all on the menu, so this one should be for the fast men.

Difference between highest point and lowest point? Only 34 metres. Maybe hard winds will have their say, as the riders cross the plains around Venece and the coast is never far away. Noale lies 30 kilometres to the nothwest of Venice and arrival town Bibione around 80 kilometres to the northwest.

Bibione is a famous beach resort, not only for human beings as the town is a favourite amongst dogs. Pluto’s Beach is special attraction for the cannine species.

In 2000, the Giro visited Bibione with an individual time trial, which was won by the Colombian Víctor Hugo Peña. The next day stage 12 left for Feltre, where Enrico Cassani took the flowers.

Without a shadow of a doubt, fast men will be eyeing up stage 12 in the 2016 Giro d’Italia.

At the line, time bonuses at 10, 6 and 4 seconds lay waiting, while intermediate sprints come with 3, 2 and 1 seconds each.
