Giro 2015: Results
The 2015 Giro d’Italia 2015 a spectacle race from start to finish. Alberto Contador took the overall and Philippe Gilbert, Fabio Aru, Mikel Landa and Sacha Modolo won two stages each. The best youngster was Fabio Aru, while Giovanni Visconti won the KOM-classification and Giacomo Nizzolo the points classification.

Surprise-win Iljo Keisse in Milano
The closing stage leads in 178 kilometres from Turino to Milano. Durbridge and Keisse are off at the closing circuit en the Belgian riders sprints to the win. Contador wins the overall, Aru is the best youngster, Visconti takes the KOM-classification and Nizzolo takes the red jersey home.Read more »
Aru powers to 2nd win in a row
The Queen Stage of the 2015 Giro features the steep and partly unpaved Colle delle Finestre. It's there Contador is dropped, but he is able to minimize his losses and he is the Giro-winner of 2015. Fabio Aru takes his second win in a row, giving extra luster to his second place overall.Read more »
Aru solos to victory in Cervinia
Fabio Aru is the best after a 236 kilometres with three tough climbs in the last quarter of the race. The young Italian is back to second in the overall, while Ryder Hesjedal finishes second and rises to seventh overall.Read more »
Gilbert solos to victory, Contador cements lead (again)
Stage 18 leads to the beautiful Lago Maggiore. With 35 km's left the steep Monte Ologno is crested. In hilly terrain at the high plateau Gilbert attacks in the front group and he drops to the win. Contador leaves his competition on the lower slopes of Monte Ologno and once again shows who's boss. El Pistolero increases his overall lead.Read more »
2nd sprint-win Sacha Modolo in Italy
The 17th is the shortest stage on the Giro 2015. With the backdrop of Alpine giants riders race 134 flat kilometres, culminating in a bunch sprint won by Sacha Modolo. Contador retains his pink jersey.Read more »
