Elisa Balsamo sprinted to victory in the 11th edition of Gent-Wevelgem for women. Marianne Vos and Maria Giulia Confalonieri rounded out the podium. The race was held on Sunday 27 March 2022.

Previous winners of Gent-Wevelgem for women are Marianne Vos (2021), Jolien D'Hoore (2020), Kirsten Wild (2019, 2013), Marta Bastianelli (2018), Lotta Lepistö (2017), Chantal Blaak (2016), Floortje Mackaij (2015) and Lauren Hall (2014), while Elizabeth Armitstead (now Deignan) pocketed the inaugural edition in 2012.

Sunday 27 March – The women's edition of Gent-Wevelgem is 159 kilometres long. After a flat run-up the riders tackle seven hills within 30 kilometres. The last one is the steep and cobbled Kemmelberg before the final 34.3 kilometres are played out on the flat.
