Dubai Tour 2017

The 4th edition of the Dubai Tour boiled down to a Marcel Kittel showdown. He did win three out of four stages and took the overall win for the second year in a row. The Hatta Dam-stage, which was the only race with climbs, was cancelled due to strong winds and sand storms.

Stage 5 brings Kittel third sprint victory and overall win

The last stage of the Dubai Tour runs in 124 kilometres through Dubai City. The race boils down to a bunch sprint with Kittel powering to third third win in four stages, thus taking the overall win for the second time in a row.

(No) live race report 4th stage

The route of stage 4 in the 2017 Dubai Tour should have travelled in 109 kilometres to a puncher's finish at the Hatta Dam. It was an adjusted route due to sand storms, yet eventually the race was cancelled altogether. So no live race report today.

Degenkolb takes echelon-marked 3rd stage, Kittel still leader

At 200 kilometres, stage 3 in the Dubai Tour offers the longest route in current edition. The echelon-marked race boils down to a bunch sprint with John Degenkolb powering to victory. Marcel Kittel retains in the overall lead.

Leader Kittel takes second win in 2nd stage

The 2nd stage of the Dubai Tour travels in 188 pan flat kilometres from Dubai to Ras al Khaimah. The race boils downs to a bunch sprint with Kittel powering to his second victory in the 2017 Dubai Tour. Groenewegen finishes in second.

Kittel takes 1st stage and leaders jersey

After 181 kilometres on flat roads through the desert Marcel Kittel powers to victory in Palm Jumeirah. Groenewegen finishes in second, Cavendish in third.
