It’s the fifth time in a row that the Critérium International is held in Corsica.

Stage 1 consists of 2 laps around the capital of Porto-Vecchio. The route offers only one classified climb, the Cote de Conca, 2.1 kilometres long with an average gradient of 5.7%. The ascent is about halfway through the loop and not likely to worry the sprinters.

Dutch sprinter Theo Bos won the stage in 2013, defeating Nacer Bouhanni on the line.

The stage starts at 09:15 CET and finishes around 11:30.
