Remco Evenepoel won edition 39 of the Clásica de San Sebastián with an impressive solo. Greg Van Avermaet and Marc Hirschi finished in second and third. The race was played out on Saturday 3 August 2019.

Young Remco Evenepoel wins solo
The Clásica de San Sebastián is pepped up by the addition of an extra super-steep climb inside the last 40 kilometres. Remco Evenepoel is dropped on this climb, but the 19-year old Belgian returns before the last ascent. He attacks with Skujins to go solo in the last metres of the Murgil climb. He descends into San Sebastián to win the race.Read more »
