Brabantse Pijl 2017

Edition 57 of the Brabantse Pijl was won by Sonny Colbrelli. The Italian outpowered title defender Petr Vakoc and Tiesj Benoot in a sprint of a select group. The race was played out in sunny conditions.

Colbrelli outsprints Vakoc in front group

The Brabantse Pijl 2017 amounts to almost 200 kilometres, while the route takes in 26 hills. Sonny Colbrelli is the fastest pilot in the front group, outsprinting title defender Petr Vakoc.

Wednesday, 12 April 2017 – At 197 kilometres, the route of the Brabantse Pijl takes in no less than 26 hills. The race is the first of the hilly classics in the lowlands, while Petr Vakoč is title holder.

Riders

The Brabantse Pijl is the prelude to the hilly classics. Two-time winner Philippe Gilbert faces competition by the likes Michael Matthews, Tim Wellens en title defender Petr Vakoc. Voilà, the startlist of La Flèche Brabançonne.
