BinckBank Tour 2017 Route stage 2: ITT in Voorburg (nld)

BinckBank Tour 2017 stage 2Tuesday, 8 August 2017 - Stage 2 of the BinckBank Tour - formerly know as the Eneco Tour - is a flat individual time trial of 9 kilometres. The route runs back and forth between neighbouring towns Voorburg and Leidschendam.

After leaving the start in Voorburg ramp the riders race to the Vliet, which is a canal that was dug in the Middle Ages. Along this waterway the route continues to Leidschendam. No obstacles or curves, the specialists are free to push the biggest gear possible.

In Leidschendam the riders cross the Vliet for a short lap in the town centre with lots of twisting and turning before the route runs back to Voorburg. Once again long straight roads, so it’s possible to go full gas until the finish line, which is close to the start ramp.

Cannondale-Drapac rider Dylan van Baarle was born in Voorburg.
