Amstel Gold Race 2023

Tadej Pogacar won the 57th edition of the Amstel Gold Race with a long-range solo attack. Ben Healy finished in second, Tom Pidcock in third. The race - 253.6 kilometres long and featuring 33 hills - was played out on Sunday 16 April 2023.

Pogacar crowns long-range solo attack

In the Keutenberg climb, with almost 30 kilometres to go, Tadej Pogacar distances his fellow-attackers Tom Pidcock and Ben Healy. He pushes on alone to win the Amstel Gold Race.

The Route

Sunday 16 April - The Amstel Gold Race amounts to 253.6 kilometres and takes in 33 hills. The lion's share of the route is on narrow country roads, so favourites face a constant battle to be up front in the peloton, while twisting and turning adds to the fatigue. Bemelerberg is the last climb with 7 kilometres remaining.
