Amstel Gold Race 2017
Philippe Gilbert won the 52nd edition of the Amstel Gold Race. He outsprinted Michal Kwiatkowski on the line to power to his fourth win in the Dutch Classic. The route took in 35 hills, yet unlike in earlier editions the punchy Cauberg was no longer the ultimate climb. Bemelerberg was the last one, crested with 7.3 kilometres to go, and that's where Gilbert and Kwiatkowski attacked.
