Abu Dhabi Tour 2017
The 3rd edition of the Abu Dhabi Tour was won Rui Costa. The Portuguese seized power in the Queen Stage to Jebel Hafeet, besting Ilnur Zakarin in a sprint-à-deux on top of the only climb of the race. The Russian finished in second overall, Tom Dumoulin in third. The race, which was played out 23 February to 26 February, boasted an extremely strong field.

Caleb Ewan outsprints Mark Cavendish, Rui Costa GC winner
The last stage of the Abu Dhabi Tour is played out in rainy conditions on fast tarmac. After the route takes in 26 laps on the Yas Marina Formula 1 circuit the race end with a bunch sprint. The decisive stage in the Abu Dhabi Tour travels to the 10.8 kilometres closing climb up to Jebel Hafeet. Rui Costa attacks with 7 kilometres remaining and he is accompanied by Ilnur Zakarin.
